This morning was well spent drinking tea under the magnolia tree. The tree's fruit tempts all the wild parrots to fill its branches with a loud, unified squawk. There were so many parrots in the tree that the noise of them eating away was inescapable. My Granny and Aunt shared the story of how the wild parrots resulted from a fire in a local pet shop setting them free. They are beautiful birds and it was a joy to drink tea with them.
Later on in the afternoon, the other side of the family invited me down to spend time and have dinner with them. It was so nice to hug them all and catch up on where life has taken them. My Grandma Peggy recently moved into a home in Laguna Niguel and drove me over to give me the grand tour. Her home is beautiful and I'm happy that she lives in a place that fits her so well. The walls are adorned with photographs of family and my Grandma Peggy glows from sharing of the moments captured within those photographs. I am very thankful that I come from this beautiful family.
